10. Oscar Piastri

The Australian finished two places behind his teammate and missed out on the championship despite having an outstanding beginning season. He struggled with consistency and the pace of the car- on top of that Mclaren prioritized Lando over him which resulted in a massive loss of points. Oscar Piastri finished 3rd in the championship.
9. Kimi Antonelli

Kimi started the season amazingly and showed true potential, but was pretty inconsistent and had many DNF’s and penalties. He also struggled with the pace and had MANY unfortunate place drops- which cost Mercedes the constructors. Kimi Antonelli finished 7th overall.
8. Franco Colapinto

Scored no points in comparison to other drivers in mid field teams and had many penalty incidents. Most assumed he would have a flying season after replacing Doohan in May of 2025, people often say he is doing WORSE in comparison to the Australian. He struggled with pace and control over the car, he finished the season in 20th place.
7. Lance Stroll

Struggling in Qualifying as he only managed to get out of Q1 nine times in 24 attempts this year. Missed two races due to injuries and struggled with the pace of the car, landing him 16th in the season. He has significant under-performance in relation to his teammate Fernando Alonso, and very inconsistent results between races.
6. Pierre Gasly

Scored all points but Alpine still performed four times worse than last season. He lacks individual performance/consistency and due to Alpine’s overall poor car, he struggles to convert a strong qualifying into consistent points, and frustrating race incidents like driver errors. He finished 18th in the season overall.
5. Fernando Alonso

Despite scoring the majority of the points, Aston Martin showed inconsistency and wouldn’t listen to the driver’s concerns which led to unfulfilled potential with the team, they had strategic errors costing points , car reliability issues, and the team’s overall under performance. He would have an outstanding qualifying but would struggle in the race overall, leading to inconsistency. He finished 10th in the season overall.
4. Alex Albon

Albon had spotty results and was overshadowed MANY times by other mid-field teams. He was very inconstant, even with a decent car and had a odd amount of DNF’s and penalties in a row. Not to mention his team wasn’t very helpful either, they wouldn’t give him the information needed and also weren’t very helpful when it came to issues with the car. Albon finished 8th overall.
3. Yuki Tsunoda

Yuki was moved to the sister team mid-season, he was performing well with VCARB but that slowly started to deteriorate. While at Redbull he struggled with consistency and his team wouldn’t listen to his concerns regarding the car and they refused to give his car upgrades, unlike other teams.
2. Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton, although scoring a decent amount of points near the end of the season, this is the 7 time world champion’s worst performance in eight years. He didn’t get a single podium (which is the first time EVER he hasn’t gotten a podium) and his engineer would not listen to him. He would tell them something and they would brush it off, he had many car issues and they randomly gave him new procedures right before a race, not giving him time to adapt. It was a mix of poor communication and reliability issues. He finished 6th overall in the season.
1. Jack Doohan

Jack was driving for Alpine at the beginning of the season but he ended up racing in only 7 out of the 24 races. After the Miami GP he was dropped and was replaced by Franco Colapinto. Alpine claimed they replaced the rookie because he failed to score points and struggled with consistency, but they didn’t even give him a chance? In comparison to Kimi Antonelli where he had a rough patch and his team decided to support him, Alpine didn’t spare him a second glance. He finished last place in the overall standings of F1, 21st with no points gained.
