Evolve502 is a community-focused organization in Louisville, KY. Their goal as a non-profit organization is to remove barriers by providing access to scholarships and community resources to help prepare students for college, career, and adulthood.
This scholarship is offered to every eligible JCPS graduate for a 2-year tuition-free post graduate education. The application process is very simple, there is no essay or SAT requirement. Anyone who completes the requirements you can be eligible for the scholarship. To be eligible you must (1) complete FASFA (2) be a JCPS graduate (3) KY resident (4) complete 9 credit hours each semester. The scholarship is very flexible, you can do school part-time (2-3 classes) and still maintain the scholarship.
Evolve502 is very focused and the well-being and guideance of their scholars. Each scholar is assigned a support coach to help them naviagate the college enviroment. There are many ways to utilize the scholarship. The 2+2 Program is a pathway for eligble Evolve502 for 2 free years of community college. The scholar would start off at a community college level then could transfer if that suits their goals. For example, students have used it to help them get an associates degree, career credentials or financial help on a pathway to a 4-year degree.
The first step in the application process is applying to a Jefferson Community & Technical College (JCTC). There are as many as 16 JCTCs in Kentucky. The second step is applying at Evolve502 (https://evolve502.org/) and completing the scholarship application. The third step is applying for The Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FASFA). It is an application that considers students more than just loans. To be eligible for the Evolve502 scholarship, students must apply for the FASFA. If you can’t complete the FASFA, contact Evolve502 and they offer resources to help. The application deadline is July 15, 2026.
The Evolve502 scholarship helps students to pursue college and career goals at no cost. It is very low risk and high reward. It is could prove benificial to apply even if it’s a back up option!
