Ballard’s field hockey team has some exciting games scheduled for August, September, and October of 2025. The team has already gone up against Oldham County and DuPont Manual with shocking results, but another game that is coming up soon is on Sept. 2, when we go up against North Oldham. There is another game directly after that one on Sept. 3 against Sacred Heart. Information on the team and experiences in general was received in an online interview with one of the team members. According to this player, her time on the team has been mostly positive; she has made friends, gotten more opportunities to train her body, and her communication skills have also improved as a result of being on the team. There used to be a freshman field hockey team, but now there is only JV and Varsity. A new field house was also built for the team this year, which is where all the players go to do team-building activities and talk about different plays. The coaches, according to the player, are “very supportive” in everything they do and “are also very positive and trustworthy”.
