On October 31st 2024, 2016 makeup sadly transcended to a better place at its home in Los Angeles. This makeup was most known for a full face of foundation, dramatic eyebrows, false lashes, dramatic eye makeup, and a whole lot of highlight. The passing of 2016 makeup hit close to home for many teenagers and college students who were inspired by influencers and makeup artists all over social media.
This makeup style was born on December 25, 2015. Something that inspired this bloom in makeup was Kim Kardashian’s contouring tutorial released in 2012. 2016 makeup went to Glam High school and Slay University. This makeup then went on to be perfected by the famous stars Kylie Jenner and James Charles. This era of makeup was extremely popular on Instagram and Youtube.
Today, people use more varied and natural looks. Many people actually might do this look in remembrance, but this look is no longer at its peak. At its time of death it was surrounded by its family members, the late 60’s makeup, clean girl makeup, no makeup makeup, Douyin makeup, and the late Victoria’s Secret Angel makeup.
